great restaurant, very tasty food, friendly service

This restaurant is the successor to the "Rodizio" which has unfortunately closed. To be honest, I have to admit that I underestimated the level of this restaurant. When I hear the headline "Steakhouse" I think of an ordinary restaurant like the "Maredo" or something similar. Not even close! Before ordering the main course, the various types of meat are demonstrated in their raw form and the various preparation options are explained. Here you can tell that the service is in the upper league. After you have decided on the appropriate dish, it will also be served in an appropriate time. There wasn't much to complain about with the preparation either. Both my son's and mine dishes were cooked "medium". The sauces that were served were delicious and consistent. My son then ordered a very tasty dessert. The only downer was the bill at the end, although the high price is quite justified.

The food was average without much taste. My colleague and I had a small cut and a ribeye. Both were medium, but not very tasty. The barbecue sauce from the house did not have a smoky taste, but tasted exactly like a Hela ketchup. The fried potatoes were ok, but I guess they weren't homemade because the slices were noticeably perfectly cut and the same size. The baked potato was fine. It's supposed to be a cowboy style restaurant, but apart from the furnishings, nothing suggests cowboy style. There was classical piano music, the menu has nothing to do with cowboys etc. Paying was very annoying. An interim bill came and we had to wait another 10 minutes. After another request, someone came to collect. When I wanted to say my part, the hint came that this is not possible and you had to ask if you could still separate. I had to take a deep breath, which was also noticed. The colleague paid the bill in full and I paid my share of him. Conclusion: We would not make a recommendation because the price / performance ratio is absolutely not right.

We ate very, very well here. You can of course eat steak that is much cheaper. But the meat is really excellent. Therefore you have to look for the competition for this meat quality first.

I usually don't write reviews, in this case it's a matter of the heart to me to do so. We have already been there 4 times, now the 1st time at the new location. It is unbelievable what great meat quality is offered there again and again. We had flambéed the 320 g fillet at the table, it couldn't be better. We go out to eat steak very often in the whole Ruhr area and nowhere have we got better meat. The owner took the time to have a nice chat and the waiters were really great. The only critical point, in my opinion, I have already personally communicated to the owner. At this level and at this price level it would have been the cherry on the cake if there had been a greeting from the kitchen, some bread with butter or something similar at the beginning. It's not about a financial story, but about a nice gesture that could be incorporated, this criticism was very charmingly received by the owner in the personal conversation. Otherwise everything was so perfect and worth every euro, we will definitely come back because you rarely get a piece of the same quality in our area. Conclusion: great food, great shop, nice waiters and great boss ... P. S Just got through other reviews. I will never understand why one criticizes the price of 4.90 for a homemade bernaise? For me this is craftsmanship and I'm happy to spend a few more euros on it.

The food is perfect and the staff very, very friendly! We were very sad when they moved away from Kettwig but are now very happy to have found them again!

First of all, the meat was good, but also expensive, the sauces average, for 4.90. However for 0.2 ltr. To ask for soft drinks 3.90 is bold! Here the prices of the side dishes, sauces and drinks are adjusted to the high meat prices, although these were only average. The bottle 0.7 ltr. Mineral water according to the card 6.90, suddenly 7.70 on the bill! Also the mashed potatoes with garlic, according to the menu 5.90, on the bill 6.90! Furthermore, one of us (we were 4 people) got his steak almost 10 minutes before the others. I praise my Drago Restaurant on the Ruhr (which used to have a branch in this location)! I pay about 40% !!! less and have had consistently good quality for over 30 years. Cowboy style has no future.

The best steak I've ever eaten. I was there with work colleagues last Thursday. The service could be a little better. Since I come from the industry myself, small deductions in the B grade, but the bottom line is a good restaurant. Where one would like to come back

The cowboy style steakhouse offers steaks in the somewhat higher price range. Four of us ate there and went there on my son's recommendation. My son himself raves about the filet mignon in the highest terms. For me, it wasn't enough today to give a top rating here. My steak wasn't what it should have been. My son's steak wasn't on point either. Even with my wife, not everything was on point. Can happen, but shouldn't happen in this price range. If it happens there is max. 4 stars.

Very friendly service and great meat. In Rüttenscheid by far the best steak house

I was in Essen for a weekend and visited the restaurant. It was much, much better than my buddy said. I'll tell you how it is, the fillet was one of the best I've ever eaten. Tender as butter and definitely worth the price. If I'm back in town I'll definitely stop by again.

I have NEVER eaten better meat in my life. And that is absolutely not an exaggeration. The service was friendly, courteous and of a very high standard. Bottom line, never anywhere else.

The quality of the meat was good, unfortunately the cooking point was not hit everywhere with medallions of different thicknesses, sauces were directly on the meat and way too much, unfortunately also not tasty, and extremely salty prices, we won't be back.

Unique taste experience ... !!! Truffle steak, the HAMMER. Were very satisfied, food from starter to dessert was good. The steak was served as ordered. (what you don't get everywhere) Staff were always friendly and helpful. Price performance is ok.

My buddy and I really enjoyed the wide range of desserts and will be coming again for a special treat. Location very convenient for a quick lunchtime, will be going to again. Cannot go wrong with the good food here and the prices are fair. A great hype to the ambiance no waiting around for food, precisely what we needed for our dinner night out. Service was fabulous and totally cherished the food, will be returning.

Lovely place en route from Essen to Düsseldorf. Great location to go for a steak and a goor red wine. The Chateaubriand I got served here was of exceptional qualite and the service is perfect. Very warm and welcome atmosphere so I can recommend this to any meat lover.

From the appetizer to the dessert just super. It has its price but the quality justifies it. Service also top here, the boss still serves himself.

Nice steakhouse in Essen. Place is quite elegant. Is strange that out side they have a big sign with a menú both in German and English but inside the paper menu is only German... Weird. 3 stars for the price. If I can accept to pay 30 euro for a filet, I believe that 7,90 euro for 75 cl of still water is too much. Recommended if you are reach
